Sulfadimidine (SD) tablets were prepared using various rosin derivatives as a binding agent. These were compared with marketed Sulfadimidine Tablets I.P. Two formulations with pentaerythritol rosin ester and rosin maleic acid adduct esterified with glycerol as binding agents have shown statistically significant decrease in the dissolution time of SD tablets as compared to the controls.
