Certain propanolamine derivatives of 6-hydroxy 1,2-benz-isoxazoles have been synthesised. All the compounds showed varying degree of beta-blocking activity when compared to propranolol, and local anaesthetic action when compared to xylocaine. Results of preliminary pharmacological screenings are given.
