The title compounds (III) have been prepared by cycloaddition of diazomethane to 3-aryl-2-styryl-4 (3H)-quinazolinones (II) in dry ether. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of elemental analysis and spectral data (IR, PMR and mass). Some of these compounds have been found to exhibit good antifungal activity.
