Aspirin, paracetamol and caffeine are simultaneously determined using mathematical equations. The asorbance of the solution of a mixture in 0.01 M hydrochloric acid is recorded at wavelengths 229, 244 and 274 nm. The concentration of each component is determined with the help of three simultaneous equations. Effect of the presence of decomposition and related products along with excipients has also been studied.
