Chemical examination of the seeds of Cordia obliqua has resulted in the isolation and characterization of alpha-amyrin, betulin, octacosanol, lupeol-3-rhamnoside, beta-sitosterol, beta-sitosterol-3-glucoside, hentricontanol, hentricontane, taxifolin-3, 5-dirhamnoside and hesperetin-7-rhamnoside. The anti-inflammatory activity of the isolated compounds were determined.
