The seeds of 20 members of Convolvulaceae have been analysed/estimated for ergolines. All plants except Convolvulus prostratus and Evolvulus nummularius contained ergolines. Agryreia nervosa, Jacquemontia paniculata and Ipomoea turbinata are found to contain the maximum quantities of ergolines. A majority or ergolines in the surveyed species are clavines.
