Antibacterial activity of thirteen substituted phenylbutenones was studied. Regression analysis showed that for the activity against B. subtilis hydrophobicity and electronic parameters are importent. A parabolic model was obtained with hydrophobicity and antibacterial activity against E. coli.PDF
