Some new 1-alpha-aryloxypropionyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones (la-c) have been prepared. These on condensation with aromatic aldhydes yielded mono arylidene derivatives (LLa-i). All these compounds have been evaluated for their antifungal activity against A. niger and H. oryzae. Based on the screening data, a possible structure activity relationship has been discussed.
