Abstract
Eight substituted-2-amino-8H-Indeno [1, 2-d] thiazoles have been synthesised by condensation of various substituted indanones with thiourea and iodine. These have been tested for antiinflammatory activity against carragenan-induced oedema in rat paw and some of them show moderate activity.
