Peer Review Policy
Journal is dedicated to maintain the highest reliability in the content published. Our journal upholds a rigorous peer review process to maintain the highest standards of scholarly excellence. This interative process ensures that all published articles meet our rigorous standards. We maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process and adhere to ethical guidelines set by COPE, ensuring fairness and integrity. Submissions for the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences must be submitted in compliance with the journal's criteria. Before submitting an article, authors are asked to review the author guidelines, which may be found on the instructions page of journal's website. The journal follows a double-blind review procedure in which the authors and reviewers are unaware of one another's identities.
A manuscript that is being submitted to the journal, hasn't been published anywhere else, simultaneously submitted and approved for publication in any other journals. All the received submissions are acknowledged and at the initial stage of review, if manuscripts are found to be plagiarized, outright rejected and not considered for publication in our journal. Each manuscript undergoes screening by the Editor to ensure it aligns with the journal's scope and basic quality criteria. Manuscripts that pass this stage are assigned to 2-4 independent reviewers with relevant expertise, ensuring no conflicts of interest. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on criteria such as originality, methodology, significance and clarity, providing detailed, constructive feedback and recommendations (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject). Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback and submit the revised manuscript. Revised manuscripts may undergo further rounds of review before a final decision is made. Our peer review process is designed to be transparent, fair and thorough, ensuring that all published articles meet our stringent criteria for quality and integrity. Accepted manuscripts copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style and format and prepared galley-proof was sent to corresponding authors. Author is expected to return the corrected proofs to incorporate corrections received after that period. The whole process is completed online through proper individual tracking systems for Author, Editor and Reviewer.
